Our Mission

Quite simply, our mission is to provide standards for the home theater community. This includes:

• Measurement standards for audio & video cables
• Measurement standards for amplifier power ratings
• Performance standards for A/V processors and receivers
• Feature guidelines for consumers looking at the latest home theater products
• Explanations and descriptions of current and new standards and certifications available to the home theater community

As the Home Theater Alliance community grows, we'll expand and grow to provide better access to our research and certification materials, allowing consumers to benefit from the research and development of our partners and Alliance Members.
