Home Theater Alliance Certification Program

The Home Theater Alliance Certification Program is just getting started and will certify companies, products and services which tangibly put the consumer first. We are working with several companies, including A/V hardware manufacturers, makers of test equipment, audio and video certification companies and others to ensure that standards are kept and met and the consumer is put first and given the best products and information possible.

We will post more information on an official Certification Program when we make it available to the public. Among other things, the HTA Certification Program will ensure that

• Manufacturers are appropriately labeling and spec'ing their products
• Custom Home Theater Installers are following proper guidelines and have proven to be appropriately trained to correctly recognize acoustical needs as well as the proper equipment to construct a home theater system
• Consumers are directed to accurate sources for usability, information and specifications related to home theater equipment and services
